Corbin Bosch, a talented allrounder known for his fast bowling, is set to make his much-anticipated debut in the Indian Premier League (IPL) with the renowned Mumbai Indians (MI). The South African pacer recently gained attention after withdrawing from the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2025 at the last moment, stepping in as a last-minute replacement for the injured Lizaad Williams.
With Mitchell Santner unable to participate, Bosch has secured a spot in the Playing XI against the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG). Captain Hardik Pandya confirmed Santner's unavailability, while Karn Sharma, who sustained an injury in a previous match against SRH, has made his return.
Mumbai Indians Playing XI vs LSG:
Squad: Ryan Rickelton(w), Rohit Sharma, Will Jacks, Suryakumar Yadav, Tilak Varma, Hardik Pandya(c), Naman Dhir, Corbin Bosch, Trent Boult, Deepak Chahar, Karn Sharma
Impact Player: Jasprit Bumrah
Bosch's addition to the Mumbai roster brings both experience and talent. He previously excelled with MI Cape Town in the SA20, taking 11 wickets in 8 matches, highlighted by an impressive 4/19 performance during their championship run. His dual skills with bat and ball are expected to enhance Mumbai's prospects.

This isn't Bosch's first opportunity in the IPL. Previously, he was part of the Rajasthan Royals (RR) as a net bowler and later joined as a replacement for Nathan Coulter-Nile, although he didn't get to play then. Now, Bosch is eager to make a significant impact with the Mumbai Indians.
Having crossed international borders in his career, Bosch made his Test debut for South Africa on December 26, 2024, against Pakistan in Centurion, shortly after his ODI debut in Johannesburg. He was also included in the Champions Trophy squad as a replacement for Anrich Nortje.
